I love Engagement Shoots. All the excitement before a Beautiful Wedding in Vernon BC

Spring is here! That means we're approaching wedding season in Vernon, BC pretty darn quick. I'm so thankful for this beautiful sunshine we've had in the Okanagan this week. It makes for some stunning sunsets which I'll be taking full advantage of for some up coming shoots. Have I ever mentioned that I love engagement shoots? Well I most certainly do, and this one I was fortunate to do is of no exception.

As soon as I met Justin and Nina I knew this was going to be a great time. There is nothing better than a couple whose love for each other can be felt through the photo. They had such a playful way about them! They really balance each other out, with Nina having a heart for working with kids at a daycare and Justin working 16 hour days as a heavy-duty mechanic (hence his rugged hands a couple photos down!). With the weather we had, I thought taking them up to Turtle Mountain would be perfect.

Once we arrived, it was relieving to see the sun was setting over the peaks of the mountain side behind us. The wind that was picking up as we went on just added to the effect beautifully. It's best to stick with what's authentic. Sometimes living in the wedding capital of BC can pose a challenge for a budding photographer due to the amount of wedding photographers. Allowing the elements that make an engagement shoot memorable to flow organically is what sets one's work a part from the rest.

Being able to capture the love that a couple shares with one another is an absolute privilege.
