Am I the only one who's shocked that it's already the middle of August? It's like we blinked and summer is nearly done with. It's been a wonderful season for weddings and I'm eager to share this sneak peek with you!

What I loved about this wedding the absolute most was how down to earth and warm this couple was. They were complete minimalists in their approach to the day, not needing a photographer to capture any photos during either of them getting ready. They were mostly looking forward to having photos of the actual wedding, telling a story of their love and care for one another.

I set off around noon to meet up with the couple and their guests for the ceremony which was being held at Paddlwheel Park in Vernon, BC. It was already a scorcher, so I was relieved to see most guests thinking ahead in their choice of attire of short-sleeves and summer dresses.

Most of the groom's family lives in India, so the couple had decided to have a wedding ceremony there first. It was still important to them to hold a second wedding ceremony that the bride's side of the family and friends could attend to. The couple was absolutely beautiful as they shared their vows to one another. Not a dry eye was in sight.

We had a lot of fun travelling to different hot spots in the Okanagan to take group photos with the wedding party. I was thankful there were some clouds in the sky by the time we arrived to certain areas that have close to no shade. It was a blast, the bride and groom pick good friends!

Of course, what photographer wouldn't take advantage of a vintage car to pose with?
