When I had the pleasure of sitting down and planning this engagement shoot with Jordan and Carly, I was able to tell right away this was going to be a blast. Then I found out they wanted it up at a Kal mountain trail here in Vernon BC during the first week of January, and I was ecstatic. I absolutely love winter shoots, and this was no exception.

So we set off to do the shoot at 3pm sharp when I knew we’d have the best light situation, and this particular afternoon did not disappoint. The air was crisp, and the snow was shallow enough to hike up the mountain trail with ease. As you can see, the view was absolutely breathtaking. Not hard to achieve here in the Okanagan!

I had such a fun time with these two. You can tell from these photos at just how connected they are. I’ll be honest, they made my job a breeze with how effortless it was to capture their dynamic.

Also, how minimal and understated is this gorgeous engagement ring? It was neat capturing its natural beauty next things like the old wooden fence encasing the bottom bit of the mountain trail.

And more just capturing their absolute and total effortlessness. I love it!

This has got to be one of my favorite shoots yet. Yeah, I know I probably say that a lot but it’s true! Thanks for checking out this engagement shoot and make sure to check back for Jordan and Carly’s wedding shoot coming this June!

Until next time...
